The most beautiful scarf arrived today from bedcrumb. The illustrations on their products are incredible.

Bedcrumb Q&A

-So, tell me a little bit about your team and where you are located.
I am the sole designer at the moment so I have about 7 different roles for different days! It's great for variety but there's always lots to do.

-How did you get started?
I've always been creative/messy.I studied Fashion at Uni then had several commercial design jobs but I really missed the creativity so I left and founded bedcrumb. Although its hard having small business at the moment it's so much more forfiling.

-What makes 'bedcrumb' different from everyone else?
They have a signature look and feel... somewhere between old fashioned/retro glamour and contemporary quirky girlyness without being to sugary! And they are all made in the UK.

-What are your influences?
Lots really - interesting fab individual people, music, photos, places & trips, vintage find & fabric and always colour, colour colour.

-What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I have a manic imagination and am always thinking of new ideas, but having several things on the go at once can get messy... my workspace often looks like a bric a brac shop!

-What's the best advice you've ever received?
You're more likely to regret the things you didn't do, rather than those you did, sometimes you've just got to do it!

-What do you value most in people?
Creativity, humour, honesty and kindness , I think lots of people see it as a weakness but its underated in my opinion!

-What do you hope to have achieved in the industry, 10 years from now?
Aside from the obligatory world domination, to be happy, creative and slovent!

She's turned a simple idea into a complete businness. I'm rather jealous. And of course in love with the whole company.

Thanks to Heidi from bedcrumb for all her help.
